File Names Export

File Names Export

File Names Export is a very small utility with windows user interface to export file names from one directory and its subdirectories to a CSV file.

If you have ever tried to compile a list of files on your computer you probably know that you should create a text file in command prompt using DOS pipe command. After that you should process and edit the file manually, which is not so convenient nowadays for long list of files for books, music, movies, etc.

File Names Export is a very small standalone utility - only 62KB and does not require any installation. You can download the .EXE file in a second and run it with double click on its name in Windows Explorer. Then you can select the source directory or just drag and drop it from Windows Explorer.

One can specify couple of options in a couple of seconds and click the "Export" button to generate the required CSV file. The file can be formatted, sorted and edited with Microsoft Excel.
